Computers 4 Charity offers refurbished and upgraded laptops and desktop computers for charities and schools across Kent.

Computers 4 Charity is seriously committed to a better environment. Upgrading devices provides a sustainable solution by reducing carbon footprint and preventing the need for new manufacturing. Recycling or disposing of IT equipment can result in a loss of intellectual, financial, and CO2 investment.

The initiative provides work experience and long-term jobs to the unemployed in Kent while offering better value, more capable, and reliable devices with a one-year warranty. By choosing our devices, you can help reduce CO2 emissions and support a good cause.

Kent charities and schools are suffering budget difficulties, but need computers. Each device given a true 2nd life through upgrade means a new one does not have to be manufactured and over 80%+ of a computer’s carbon footprint is in its production.

Social Impact

We have launched a new initiative Computers 4 Kent on 1st March 2023 sponsored by The Cook Foundation UK, providing 50% match-funding grants, with £10,000 released on the first working day of each month on a first come-first served basis. The grant is paid directly to Computers 4 Charity and applied when devices are purchased via our e-shop. This means 50% of your next purchase can be paid by someone else, and you could do some good! To qualify, applicants just need to be a registered charity or school based in the County of Kent. We help: • Young carers • Homeless youth • Hospice patients • Charity volunteers • Unemployed veterans • Bereaved Forces children • Local charities and schools • UK charities supporting schools in Africa
